About this procedure
Breast reduction is a procedure that reduces the size and weight of overly large breasts by removing excess breast tissue, fat, and skin. This surgery can help relieve physical discomfort while creating a breast size that is more proportionate to your body.
What Happens During the Procedure?
Personal Consultation
Your surgeon will discuss your concerns, evaluate your breast size and shape, and recommend a personalized surgical plan.
Surgery
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia for your comfort.
Excess breast tissue, fat, and skin are carefully removed.
The remaining breast tissue is reshaped to create a smaller, firmer, and more balanced appearance.
The nipples and areolas may be repositioned to match the new breast shape.
Recovery
Mild swelling, bruising, and soreness are common during the first few weeks.
Most patients can return to light daily activities within 1–2 weeks.
A supportive surgical bra is typically worn to promote healing and comfort.
Mastopexy (Breast Lift) Surgical Method
Breast lift surgery refers to a procedure that raises and secures abnormally saggy breasts, including the nipple and areola, to a more natural and youthful position.

To minimize scarring, the incision is made only around the areola. The inner breast tissue is reshaped into a conical form, and then securely fixed to the chest wall (pectoral muscle). This method can create a youthful and firm breast shape while preserving the sensory nerves of the nipple. Depending on the patient’s needs, breast enlargement or reduction can also be performed simultaneously.
